My account has been blocked

Your account will be blocked if: • You used more than one account to place items of the same category. For example, it is right when you are using one account for selling cars and another one for selling umbrellas. But if you sell cars using the account for selling umbrellas we'll block one of them; • You placed a lot of prohibited items; • Your items have been reported by customers; • The items you placed were irrelevant. For example, the real estate item either doesn't exist or the price, images and other details do not correspond to it; • Your account violated our Policies. For example, you placed prohibited or restricted items; • Your account was suspended. If an unauthorized person used your account, we may temporarily suspend it until it's secure again. How do I reinstate my account? Contact our Support Service and describe the problem, provide your phone number and e-mail address associated with the blocked account.

How can I view my Profile Page?

1. Click “Sign in”;

2. Enter your e-mail (or registered phone number) and password.

How can I sign in using social network accounts?

You can sign in to your account using:

• VK

• Twitter

• Facebook

• Google+

To do this you need to confirm your social network accounts on your Profile Page on Alphateca.com.:

1. Sign in to your account using e-mail and password;

2. Open your Settings;

3. Click “My social network accounts”;

4. Activate your social network accounts.

5. To sign in you will be asked to choose a social network account and enter e-mail and password.

When I sign in using my social network account I cannot see my items and contact information.

It happens because you have  once signed in to the site using one of your social network  accounts unassociated with Alphateca.com. The system created a new user account and that is why you cannot see your items and other information.

What can I do if my website account is already associated with another Alphateca account?

If you see a message "This account is already associated with Alphateca.com" while trying to activate your website account, follow next steps:

1. Sign in to Alphateca.com using the website account you are unable to activate.

2. Deactivate it in your settings.

3. Sign out. Now you will be able to associate your website account with Alphateca.com and use it to sign in.

An error occurs when I try to sign in using a website account.

In that case you need to contact our Support Service providing your website account's ID.

How can I find my ID?

on VK

1. Sign in to your account;

2. Click“My Profile”;

3. In the location bar there will be a the link: https://vk.com/id, where “id” is your VK account number. If it contains letters, follow the next steps:

4. Open your settings and find the section “General”;

5. Find your profile link and click “Change”, you’ll see your ID.

Twitter

To find your Twitter ID  go to the website:http://mytwitterid.com/ . Enter your nickname  and click «Search” . For example, for the given nickname we've got the ID number 

Google+

1. Sign in to your account;

2. Click «Profile”;

3. In the location bar you find the link: https://plus.google.com/u/0/id, where“id” is the ID number of your Google+ account.

 Facebook unique identification numbers or Your User ID is a string of numbers that doesn’t personally identify you but does connect to your Facebook profile. Contact our Support Service providing your Facebook username.

I forgot my username

To access Alphateca.com you need to enter an e-mail address or a phone number registered. If you forgot your e-mail address, enter your phone number.

If your account has got more than one phone number activated, use one of them.

If you haven’t got a phone number registered to your account, follow next steps:

• Enter an e-mail address that is most frequently used.

• Check your personal e-mail and look for Alphateca emails received. If you found any, use this e-mail address to sign in.

• If you have a social network account associated with your Alphateca account, sign in using it. You will find your username in your settings. If you use Alphateca app, open it and go to your Profile Page. Find the tab "Contact information" to see your e-mail address. That is your username.

I cannot access My Profile

If you cannot sign in Alphateca.com and see the message: Your e-mail or password is incorrect:

• Make sure you're entering your e-mail and password correctly, and that Caps lock on your keyboard is off;

• If you have a phone number registered to your account, you can sign in using it.

If you've forgotten your password, select reset your password. We recommend that you reset the password for your e-mail as well. If there's no Alphateca account associated with your e-mail address, you'll get a message that says "No account found with that email address", in that case contact us providing your registered phone number and e-mail address.

The sign "Your account is blocked" means that we blocked your account due to some violation or to protect it from unauthorized access or improper use.

"Your account has been deleted"  means that the account has been deleted by the user.

How to recover my account?

How to recover my profile?

If you decided to delete your account, follow the steps:

- go to My Profile

- go to Settings

- click Delete button

Please note that after you submit for deletion, your account is frozen for 30 days. This time is necessary for you to be able to withdraw the deposit and solve all financial issues. If you changed your mind within 30 days you have to:

- log in to your personal account using your username and password;

- go to "Settings" and click "Recover my account".

If your decision to delete the account is final, it will be permanently deleted in 30 days.

 

 

How can I recover my account?

If you decided to delete your account, follow next steps:

- Open your Profile Page;

-Go to your settings;

- Click "delete my account”

Please, note that once you submit an application for deleting your account, there's a 30-day waiting period for all purchases and sales to complete.

Make sure that:

All your fees are paid, and your Wallet balance is $0.00;

You've resolved any suspensions or restrictions.

Within this period, you can also ask us to reopen your account if you change your mind:

- Sign in using your e-mail address and password;

- Go to your settings

- Click «Reopen my account”.

After 30 days, your account will be permanently closed and can't be reopened.

How can I change my e-mail address?

You can change your e-mail address in your Settings. Find your e-mail address and click “Edit”. You'll receive a confirmation email to complete the process.

How can I change or add my phone number?

1)Go to your Profile Page

2) Under the “Phone number” section click “Update”.

3)We’ll send you a text message with a confirmation code.

4) Enter the confirmation code and press "Confirm".

5) The new phone number will be displayed above all of your items. The previous phone number will be also  saved. While submitting an item, you will be able to choose any of them.

How can I change my password?

To change your password, go to Settings. Confirm your current password, enter your new password twice иand click “Change Password”.

How can I recover my password?

Using your e-mail address:

1) Go to our Log In page and click “Forgot your password?”

2 ) Enter your  e-mail address and click «Reset my password»

3) We'll send you a link to reset your password.

4) You'll be asked to create a new password, enter it and click«Reset»

If you have any trouble resetting your password or the confirmation link was invalid, click «Request another confirmation email». Sometimes confirmation emails are caught in spam or junk folders, so be sure to check there first.

Using your phone number

1)Go to  Log In page and click “Forgot your password?”

2)Request a one-time code, provided that you've registered and confirmed a mobile phone number on your Alphateca account.Click «Reset my password»

3) Enter the 6-digit security code and click “Accept”.

4) You'll be asked to create a new password, enter it and click «Reset»: If you requested multiple codes, only the newest one will be valid. 

How can I find the ID of my Alphateca account?

Go to your Account settings. Your ID is displayed under the profile image.

How can I find the ID of my website account?

VK

1. Sign in to your account;

2. Click“My Profile”;

3. In the location bar find the link: https://vk.com/id, where “id” is the ID number of your VK account. If it contains letters, follow next steps:

What can I do if my website account is already associated with another Alphateca account?

If you see a message "This account is already associated with Alphateca.com" while trying to activate your website account, follow next steps:

1. Sign in to Alphateca.com using the website account you are unable to activate.

2. Deactivate it in your settings.

3. Sign out.

Now you will be able to associate your website account with Alphateca.com and use it to sign in.

If my Alphateca account was hacked or stolen

If you notice any of these signs or similar ones, it means that your account has been hacked:

• You can't sign in, because your e-mail address or password is incorrect (the bar is highlited in red);

• There is an unknown phone number added in your Profile Page; 

Someone changed your account information, like your recovery phone number or email;

• There are items on your Profile Page you didn't submit;

• Some of your items have been deleted;

• Some advertising materials were added in your items;

• Your money is being automatically transferred from your Wallet;

• Other users reported that they got spam or unusual emails from your account.

If you suspect your Alphateca account has been hacked, follow next steps:

1. Install an Antivirus that detects and removes the malware and its variants from your PC.

2. Reset your password

Once you've installed an Antivirus, we recommend you to change the passwords for your e-mail address registered and social network accounts associated with your Alphateca account. Then log in to your account.

• As soon you’re logged in, you’re required to change your password immediately.

• If you cannot do it, try to reset your password. Check your profile information in your Profile Page. You may see an unknown content such as new items, edited items, edited contact information. Then check your Wallet.

All items were removed from the Favorites bar

You've probably added items to your favorites while being not signed in. In that case such items are stored in the temporary files (Cookies) of your browser. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see them hen using another browser or PC. Besides, you might have your Cookies deleted while clearing your browser history. Therefore,the items from your favorites were also deleted. Unfortunately, in that case they cannot be restored. Be sure you’re logged in to add new items to your favorites.
